The Eggbutt cheek piece prevents pinching of the lips and gives a solid feel against the side of the face. It also prevents the bit being pulled through the mouth. The release is slower than the loose ring and also introduces light poll pressure.
The Dressage Control Plate is set at 45° to follow the contour of the horses tongue. The plate sits flat on the tongue offering a kind pressure which will bring the head in.
The cheekpiece is available in 2 sizes, standard and a slightly smaller model for a pony.
The Dressage Control plate is narrower than the conventional Control Plate and therefore applies more tongue pressure. The narrow plate compiles with some dressage association rules.
