This clever design is brilliant to combat strong, rude horses and/or those with a tendency to lean or snatch down. Lightness and outline is encouraged and any tendency to over bend is usually eradicated.

Many horses do over bend in other Pelhams possibly due to the poll pressure. The combination of the mild Slimma mouthpiece and Swales cheek is excellent for use on a horse that fully understands the aids. Only recommended for riders with an independent seat and sympathetic hands.

The “Slimma” tongue bridge arches over the tongue profiling under the upper palate.

The 14 mm normally offers extra lift from the shoulder and takes up less room in the mouth than thicker
mouthpieces.
